The Armed Governance project is a systematic evaluation of governance behaviors by armed actors in Colombia between 1990 and 2020. The project rests on the information provided by hundreds of local experts from Colombia.
The project analyzes the behavior of:
- Insurgent organizations.
- Paramilitary groups.
- Criminal organizations.
- Government forces.
For each actor present at the municipal level, the study analyzes the following behaviors:
- Territorial control
- Violent actions.
- Economic extraction.
- Political influence.
- Security provision.
- Social control.
- Provision of public goods.
- Conflict and cooperation.
